PBP (Pushy Book People)

I hated books. I could never stay hooked. It would take me a whole summer just to read one book. My mom and my teachers always wanted me to read them and they were always boring to me. PBPs. You know how it feels when someone makes you do something you really don’t want to do? Like when your girlfriends make you go to the bathroom in public with them, or when your dad makes you go outside to ride bikes when it’s a million degrees, or when your entire family makes you dress up as Princess Leia  for your little cousin’s Star Wars themed party. (pshhh. That was  totally NOT me)

I used to fall asleep while I was reading. At my grandma’s house in the summer I used to fall asleep while reading next to some squeaky stairs. That way I could wake up when I heard someone coming down the stairs and pretend that I was still reading. It always worked because I’m totes awesome.

But now I love books. First I saw a movie that I really liked (and am now obsessed with, like every other teenage girl) and my friends suggested that I read the books. I started reading the first book. LOVED it! I read it all in a week, and it’s 398 pages long! I also read the second book in a week—same number of pages. Another love. I’m now two-thirds of the way through the third book, which is 400 pages long. I haven’t finished it so I don’t know if I love it yet or not.

I love them because I am reading them on my own. No one is pushing me. The books have it all: fighting, killing, star-crossed lovers, food, bombs, people dying, different types of birds, a lot of numbers.

If you haven’t guessed yet, the books are The Hunger Games series. I can’t wait until the other movies come out. I’m a Peeta freak. I can’t wait to find another series I like. Anyone have some suggestions?

spring break 2012

So we had spring break last week. It was awesome not to have as much stress as I did the week before, oh hallelujah!!!:) We had a good time. I saw Hunger Games with the actors Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence, and Josh Hutcherson. I saw it with a friend. It was awesome. Wednesday my mom and I got pedicures and haircuts and we went to Olive Garden. We went to Hershey, Pennsylvania. It was really fun. My family had a great time.

Here is a little fun fact for you all; The money that you think goes to the park actually goes to the school. Mr. Hershey's wife ,Kitty, could not have kids. They made a school for all kids who had lost their parents or have disabilities. They have a college, high school, middle school, elementary school, and daycare there.

The park was really fun. I love the Great Bear the roller coaster. The second time, I laughed the whole time. I don’t know why I was laughing. We got s'mores cakes .We got them at a restaurant.  My mom thought we needed two s'mores cakes so we bought the last two.The lady behind us in line asked if the workers had any left but they said "no sorry." It was funny.

Chocolate World is a museum but it wasn't boring because we got chocolate. We made chocolate bars. You would think that if you put a hair net on, apron, and gloves you would be touching the chocolate.  You’re not, it is all behind glass. Not cool!:( We did a tasting adventure. It was okay. I learned I don't like dark chocolate. On the trolley ride around town I learned about Kitty. We got chocolate. Did you know that you get more chocolate at the trolley ride, tasting, and the create your chocolate bar than at Hershey Park?
I had a really good time on my spring break!!

Question: What did you do over the spring break?

my (wishful) perfect life

I wish I could have a perfect life.  With no learning disability.  No F's.  No crying.  No getting mad.

I would have A's in all of my classes, be happy, laughing, and having a good time with my friends.

I would be at least a little rich and not have to worry about the future. I would get a really good dance coach and then one day I can maybe get on So You Think You Can Dance.

I would be a really good reader. I hate dyslexia. One day I will be able to read all the Harry Potter books. I feel pressure from my teachers and my parents to get good grades. Why does everyone tell me not to get stressed about grades? One of my teachers once told me that I'm never going to remember this so don't make a big deal about it. Seriously?

My life is not perfect but I want to make it as perfect as it can be. And you know what? I'm going to college and I'm going to live in New York with my friend.

Question :What do you want to wish?
